NOR and Sailing Instructions Amendments

Notice of Race Amendment – Number 1

Change to NOR restrictions on entries to 46’LOA

The JRSC Committee have considered the case for admitting yachts with an LOA up to 48’ to the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.

In consultation with the Harbourmaster it has been agreed to allow yachts up to 48’ LOA, which do not have a permanent berth in the River Dart, to enter the Regatta, provided the entry is accompanied by confirmation that the yacht has reserved either, a permanent berth on a Harbour Authority mooring, a Dart Marina berth, a Noss Marina berth, or will use the anchorage, for the full duration of the Regatta.

There is a restriction on the use of Darthaven Marina for yachts over 40’ LOA during the Regatta. Yacht owners providing the above mentioned confirmation will be assumed to have accepted the fact that any attempt to occupy a berth in the Darthaven Marina will annul the terms of their entry.

This supersedes the advice in the Notice of Race restricting entries to 46’LOA.

Yacht & Keelboat Sailing Instruction Amendment No 1

SI 14 is deleted and is substituted with the following:

14 THE FINISH
On the Western Course, the finishing line will be between a mast or staff displaying a blue flag on the Finishing Vessel at the starboard end and the port-end finishing mark (ODM.) This changes Rule 25 and the reference to a blue flag in Race Signals. For the avoidance of doubt, this sailing instruction applies only to the Western Course. On the Middle Course and Eastern Course and on Coastal Race day, the finishing line will be between a mast or staff displaying an orange flag on the Finishing Vessel at the starboard end and the port-end finishing mark (ODM). On those courses the Finishing Vessels may display a blue flag indicating that they are in position at the finishing line in accordance with Rule 25 and Race Signals.”

SI 21.4 is changed as follows:

21.4 The penalty for failing to comply with sailing instruction 21 shall be disqualification without a hearing. This changes rule 63.1
