The following clause to be inserted:

12. With respect only to the Coastal Race, when fewer than 75% of the starters in a class finish within the time limit positions for boats that have not finished may have their final position in the race determined by their position at the last mark at which a rounding was recorded by the Race Committee.
A boat so recorded shall not be scored better than nor equal to one completing the course.

Part D The Eastern Course


Clause # 7 is amended as follows:

Delete: 7.1 The starting line will be between a staff displaying an orange flag on the Committee Vessel at the starboard end and a boat flying an orange flag at the port end.

Insert: 7.1 The starting line will be between a staff displaying an orange flag on the Committee Vessel at the starboard end and an Outer Distance Mark at the port end (ODM(p)).



Amendment to Notice of Race #1


Amendment to # 6.3

Delete: "First warning signal Dinghy course: 14.55 hrs"

Insert:

"First warning signal Dinghy course: 10.55 hrs."


Amendment to Dinghy Joining Notes

Delete: "The first race on Sunday 24th August is at 15.00 hrs., with a briefing at the Dittisham Boathouse at 14.00 hrs. Beach Master on duty from 8.00 hrs"

Insert:

"The first race on Sunday 24th August is at 11.00 hrs., with a briefing at the Dittisham Boathouse at 10.00 hrs. Beach Master on duty from 8.00 hrs"

 
Sailing Instructions- available from 8 o'clock at Dittisham Boathouse on August 24th

Amended Dinghy Racing Dates

Incorrect dates have been published in the Notice of Race on page 3, paragraph 4, regarding Dinghy Racing.

The correct text should read:

"The dinghy racing will be held at Dittisham from 24th-27th August where excellent racing may be expected.

On Wednesday 27th August dinghy sailors are invited to gather at Royal Dart Yacht Club after the day's sailing. The Prize Giving will be held at the Royal Dart Yacht Club on Sunday 31st August."

Amendment to RBS Dartmouth Week 2008 Sailing Instructions Part B The Passage Race

Clause # 5 is amended as follows:


Delete: "The starting line will be between the flagstaff at Battery Point and the outer distance mark being the red flag buoy, crossing the line West to East."

Insert:

"The starting line will be between the flagstaff at Battery Point and the outer distance mark . When a red flag is hoisted at Battery Point prior to the warning signal the outer end of the start line will be a red flag buoy. The line will be crossed West to East.

However when a Green flag is hoisted at Battery Point prior to the warning signal the outer end of the start line will be a green flag buoy. The line will be crossed South East to North West."


Clause # 6 is amended as follows:


Delete: Start Line – Homestone (leave to Starboard) – Finish Line.

Insert:

"When a Red Flag is hoisted at Battery Point the course shall be: Start Line – Homestone (leave to Starboard) – Finish Line.

When a Green Flag is hoisted at Battery Point the course shall be: Start line – BYC mark A (leave to Starboard) - Homestone (leave to Starboard) – Finish Line .

All boats that have started, after rounding Mark A, shall pass to the North of the Start line.BYC Mark A is a buoy with a red flag located approximately N50 24.527 W03 32.054"
