RBS Dartmouth Week 2008

Welcome to The Royal Bank of Scotland Dartmouth Week 2008

Dartmouthweek Programme of Events
Dartmouth Week is the sailing event of the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.

So called because in 1856 Queen Victoria bestowed the title Royal on the event during a visit by The Queen, Prince Albert and The Prince of Wales.Dartmouth Regatta Yacht Racing

Since 1822 the town of Dartmouth has held an annual regatta which has in past years seen yacht racing between some of the finest yachts in the world, including J Class Yachts.
Dartmouth regatta now ranks as one of the best in Britain and is fast becoming the South Coasts must-do event.

For the last two years the spectacular Farr 45s have competed for their national championship here and we are delighted to welcome them back in 2008.

We have not lost sight of our roots as a wonderful regatta for families. The focus is on making the racing fun for everyone. We want the local cruisers with their families on board have a thoroughly enjoyable regatta. We will go out of our way to ensure that Dartmouth Week is memorable for mums, dads, the kids as well as the ‘hot shot’ crews.

Along with a full programme of racing for yachts, sportsboats, keel boats, traditional yachts and dinghies. There will be entertainment to suit everyone. The regatta marquee at Darthaven Marina, will be the focus of festivities every night including prize givings. There will be lots going on at the Dartmouth Yacht Club, the Royal Dart Yacht Club and in the town of Dartmouth itself.

No one will possibly get bored. Plus there will be the world famous Red Arrows and the fantastic fireworks displays.
